REAM Foundation: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: MISOPHONIAThe Offices of the Vice President for Research and Corporate and Foundation Relations are coordinating an internal call for proposals to a new grant program administered by the Milken Institute and funded by the REAM Foundation focused on Misophonia. Misophonia is a newly identified condition where individuals experience strong negative emotions in response to specific sensory stimuli such as the sounds of a person chewing or typing.
The program intends to support two-year projects led by either faculty or post-docs with an annual budget of up to $200,000 (less for post-docs). The focus of proposals can be (1) research to characterize misophonia; (2) development of diagnostic tools to facilitate assessment or (3) clinical and/or model studies of specific interventions. USC can only submit one LOI to this competition.
For the internal deadline, please submit the following (using 11 point Calibri font with one-inch margins):
•A one-page lay summary describing the project’s aims, goals, and how it will benefit the scientific field investigating misophonia.
•A one-page outline of aims and milestones.
• An NIH-formatted biosketch.
