NSF: Software Infrastructure for Sustained Innovation - S2I2 (SI2-S2I2) NSF 15-553This solicitation is focused on the Scientific Software Innovation Institutes (S2I2) class of awards. S2I2 includes two subclasses of awards: Conceptualization Awards, which are planning awards aimed at organizing an interdisciplinary community and understanding their software requirements and challenges, and Implementation Awards, which will be made to implement community activities that support software infrastructure, for example, such as those developed by the conceptualization awards.

USC may only submit one proposal for each class (Conceptualization or CMRSI implementation or SGSI Implementation). Your application submission(s) MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by May 4, 2015 (for Implementation Proposals) and at anytime for Conceptualization Proposals. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI.
NSF indicates that a letter of intent is NOT REQUIRED and a full proposal for Implementation Proposals is due by June 03, 2015. Full proposals for Conceptualization Proposals will be accepted at anytime.
