Who We Are
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) is apart of Student Health and Well-Being. We provide a range of in-person and virtual services which include individual, couples, group, workshop, and self-help a treatment options for currently enrolled students at the Columbia campus. We are accepting of students who come from different races, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, orientations, identities and neurodivergent/physical abilities. Besides the provision of clinical care we are also an accredited training facility for graduate-level psychology, counseling and social work interns. We use a Stepped Model approach which allows us to link students to the appropriate level of care that matches their needs.

To provide holistic high-quality patient-centered mental health services to students in-order to support their functioning, growth and development so that they can continue to be successful members of the university community.
