In response to the challenges many are experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of South Carolina Professional MBA program has modified its standardized test requirement for the remainder of the spring 2021 application cycle.

Under the modified structure, any PMBA candidate who satisfies the following criteria may apply for spring 2021 admission without GMAT or GRE scores:

• Candidates must possess at least two full years of professional or military experience and a 3.0 cumulative GPA and be able to demonstrate quantitative preparedness through previous academic performance or experience.
• Candidates with a GPA below 3.0 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the strength of their overall credentials. At the discretion of the PMBA program, candidates may be advised to take the GMAT or GRE to strengthen their application or to better demonstrate their academic readiness for the program.

The COVID-19 standardized test exception only applies to candidates seeking spring 2021 admission to the Professional MBA program. All candidates who are granted the test exception will be admitted on a conditional basis and must achieve a 3.0 GPA or above for their first six credit hours to maintain enrollment in the program.
