Background
McKinley L. Blackburn is the James A. Morris Professor of Economics. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of South Carolina and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University. He spent a year as a visiting fellow at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics and labor economics.
Blackburn received the 1998 Research Development Award for the Darla Moore School of Business.
Research
Blackburn’s recent research has considered the impact of minimum wages on employment (and other outcomes), the relationship between migration and married couples’ earnings, and estimation and inference with count-data models. His recent publications includes articles in The Review of Economics and Statistics, the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and Labour Economics.
