Background

Necati Tereyagoglu is an Associate Professor of Management Science, Moore Research Fellow, and the Academic Director of the Center for Applied Business Analytics at the Management Science Department of the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. His research focuses on revenue management and sustainable operations with special emphases on consumer behavior, economic networks, and resale markets. In this endeavor, he has had the opportunity to work on problems in automotive, book, entertainment, luxury, multi-family housing, and packaged food industries. His research has been published in Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management. He currently serves as Senior Editor for the Production and Operations Management journal.

At the Moore School, he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in revenue management, supply chain management and business analytics.

He obtained his Ph.D. in operations and information management and M.A. in statistics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Previously, he received a B.S. in industrial engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey. Before joining the Moore School, he taught at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
