Elizabeth Reyes, Ph.D.

Elizabeth Reyes, Ph.D. is a clinical assistant professor of Special Education in the Department of Educational and Developmental Science at The University of South Carolina. She has taught classes in undergraduate and graduate special education programs in topics related to classroom management, literacy, and single-case research designs. Reyes was previously involved in grant work for the TIES Center, a national technical assistance center focused on Increasing Time, Instructional Effectiveness, Engagement, and State Support for Inclusive Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (TIES). She earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from UNC Charlotte. In her time as an educator, Reyes taught students with various high-incidence and low-incidence disabilities in Title I schools in both rural and urban areas in self-contained, resource, and inclusive settings. In her time as an administrator, she was the director of a kindergarten through twelfth grade inclusion program for students with a range of disabilities in two different private schools. Her current research interests include training a variety of interventionist in effective implementation of Evidence-based Practices in inclusive settings for students with disabilities. Reyes is also a wife and mother of three young children.
