Background
Kim Boone is the Director of Events, Engaged Learning and Outreach for the David and Nicole Tepper Department of Sport and Entertainment Management. A native of upstate New York, she earned a B.S. in sport and entertainment management and a minor in business from the University of South Carolina in 2002.
Boone has been a member of the department since 2012 and oversees two of the department’s signature annual conferences: the Sport Entertainment and Venues Tomorrow (SEVT) Conference and the College Sport Research Institute (CSRI) Conference. She also leads strategic event planning, experiential learning initiatives and outreach efforts that strengthen student engagement, foster industry partnerships and enhance connections with alumni.
Prior to coming full circle back to the David and Nicole Tepper Department of Sport and Entertainment Management, she began her career as group sales coordinator at the Colonial Life Arena, managed by Global Spectrum, and later as the marketing manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car (now Enterprise Holdings) for South Carolina and Southeast Georgia.
Boone and her husband Lexie have a daughter, Cora, and a son, Battley.
