He earned a Master of Science in international hospitality management and a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management from the University of South Carolina, along with an Associate of Arts in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University. Pressley Jr.'s educational foundation equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry, enabling him to excel in various roles throughout his career.

In addition to his role at USC, Pressley Jr. serves as a human resources specialist with the United States Army Reserves at Fort Jackson.
