About the Celebration
The USC Joseph F. Rice School of Law annually sponsors a celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. By honoring his life and legacy, we reaffirm our law school’s commitment to preparing lawyer-leaders who are fully equipped to serve justice and advance the rule of law with passion and integrity. We also aim to cultivate transformative opportunities for our community members to learn about the legacy of civil rights, racial justice, and social justice advocacy in the United States and beyond. By convening to reflect on Dr. King’s bold vision, we strive to not only empower our community members to confront the societal challenges that face our nation but also to promote our university’s Carolinian Creed, which espouses a commitment to integrity, dignity, and inclusion.
