Participate in a MEDRI-approved pilot study comparing a customized curriculum-aligned
ChatGPT-based “study buddy” with usual study methods during pathology SDL. Engage
critically with both approaches across two cases, provide brief reflections, and contribute
to research shaping the future integration of AI in medical education.

On Friday, Jan. 9, School of Medicine Columbia faculty and students took part in a
symposium at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law to discuss how artificial intelligence
is transforming the fields of medicine and law. The event featured over a dozen speakers,
live AI demonstrations and panels to bring together physicians, legal scholars, ethicists,
and students to discuss the promises of AI in professional practice.
