Monique McCause joined the staff of USC Sumter’s Opportunity Scholars Program (OSP) in the spring of 2019. After receiving her Associate of Science through USC Sumter in 2016, she has been employed by USC Sumter as a writing tutor, has taught the English portion of OSP Jumpstart, and has tutored or taught  ACT Mastery Prep for Upward Bound. She has 10 years experience working as a gymnastics’ instructor for the Sumter YMCA, Wateree Gymnastics’ Center, and Miss Libby’s School of Dance and Gymnastics.

Monique is married to Bruce, who is a military retiree and the worship leader at First Assembly of God. They have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Monique has a diverse background as a military wife of 26 years. She has lived in 2 different countries and 4 different states and has spent 21 years homeschooling 4 children.

Monique ministers in worship with her husband, Bruce, and together, they lead the College, Combat, and Career group at 1st Assembly. Monique also teaches a class for the Assembly of God Girls’ Ministries Club and is a women’s ministry council member. Monique enjoys reading, singing, and spending time with family and friends.
