Bio
Damien K. Picariello is the Interim Chair, Division of Arts and Letters; Interim Chair, Division of Humanities, Social Sciences; and Education Director of Faculty, Curricula, and Courses for Dual Enrollment Programs at the University of South Carolina Sumter. He is also Professor of Political Science and teaches broadly within that field. His regularly offered courses include POLI 201 (American National Government) and POLI 357 (Film, Politics, and Social Change). He is the editor of The Western and Political Thought: A Fistful of Politics (Palgrave, 2023), The Politics of Horror (Palgrave, 2020) and Politics in Gotham: The Batman Universe and Political Thought (Palgrave, 2019). On campus, he is the co-organizer of USC Sumter's annual Constitution Day program and co-director of USC Sumter's annual French Film Series.
