Complete the following steps to prepare for your course registration.
Remember: your advisement hold WILL NOT be lifted until your advising appointment is complete.
Make sure you don't have any holds that will keep you from registering for courses.
You will have a specific 'time ticket' when you will be able to begin registering for classes.
Learn how to view registration status & holds in Self Service Carolina. VIew a list of common holds & restrictions.
Log in to Self Service Carolina to access DegreeWorks. Once in DegreeWorks, click on the 'Plans' tab to review your advised courses.
Here you will find the courses your academic advisor has recommended you take in the upcoming semester
Please note: In some colleges, an advisement form may have been provided. In these instances, refer to your advisement form for your recommended course schedule.
Use the 'Browse Classes' tool in Self Service Carolina or classes.sc.edu website to help you plan and prepare for registration.
Check Self Service Carolina frequently to ensure you don't have any registration holds.
In the case that courses have restrictions or are full, knowing the course override process will help you to request a seat in a course.
