The Medford Library primarily serves USCL students, faculty and staff and is also open to the public.

We own a diverse collection that supports our campus and the Palmetto College degree program, including traditional and print books, government documents and audiovisual items.

Library Instruction

Our faculty promote and utilize the Association of College & Research Libraries' Information Literacy Standards and Framework, which are symbiotic with the tenets of critical thinking. Faculty may contact us to meet with classes for library orientation, discipline-focused resource and information-seeking guidance, searching method demonstrations, technology integration overview, academic integrity reviews, and more. 

 

Programs and Events

Faculty and student engagement drive our varied events and programs. From perennial events like Faculty Colloquium to a kaleidoscope of Creative Ventures, you'll have the opportunity to hear the latest scholarship from active faculty researchers, learn a new skills, or indulge in creating something new and useful for yourself while meeting others. 

 

Medford Reads

Along with library faculty, our community is charged with developing the library's collections. Our collections are constantly evolving as we gather or maintain traditional and contemporary items and formats that support our campus' degree programs, promote faculty scholarships and teaching outcomes and encourage literacy and reading for edification or pleasure.
