Addressing Youth "Arrest" and Secure Detention in the South Carolina Juvenile Justice System

This project addresses minority youth contact with law enforcement officers to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in the South Carolina juvenile justice system through collaborating with law enforcement officers, juvenile justice professionals, and researchers to provide youth "arrest” data, research, a detention decision-making tool, and other resources.
