Dean and Professor

Dr. Jeannette Andrews is charged with overseeing all aspects of the academic mission and executing the college’s strategic initiatives in nursing education, research, practice and health policy. She is responsible for providing sound  management of resources: fiscal, facilities and human. Andrews ensures adherence to federal and state and university regulations, maintains accreditation standards and establishes strategic partnerships. She leads in college fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors, partners and alumni.

robin dawson

Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Accreditation

Dr. Robin Dawson is the interiem chief academic officer, providing leadership in the strategic development and implementation of curricula that meet the needs of a diverse undergraduate and graduate student population. She oversees the Office of Student Affairs and Clinical Simulation Center.

Dr. Bernardine Pinto

Associate Dean of Research

Dr. Bernardine Pinto oversees all operations and activities of the Office of Research to foster the research mission and growth of the college's research portfolio by facilitating grant submissions to local, regional and national funding agencies.

Interim Associate Dean, Access, Belonging and Community Engagement and Associate Professor

Dr. Sevilla Bronson facilitates development of initiatives to both cultivate and synergize an environment of inclusive excellence in the college. She oversees the operations of the college’s Carolina Cares Cupboard, serves on the university’s Council of Academic Diversity Officers, and collaborates with peers in other colleges and units to promote the representation and participation of stakeholders and to nurture relationships for community building.

Department Chair, Professional Nursing Practice

Dr. Kate Chappell is charged with leading faculty development and advancement in teaching, scholarship, and service for faculty members who teach in the Baccalaureate of Nursing and Masters Entry to Practice (MEPN) programs. She oversees the department’s growth and commitment to excellence in carrying out the College’s mission and vision.

Department Chair, Advanced Professional Nursing Practice & Leadership

Dr. Sheryl Mitchell is charged with leading faculty development in the Department of Advanced Professional Nursing Practice and Leadership. The department's programs include Master's of Science in Nursing, Certificate of Graduate Study, and Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Department Chair, Biobehavioral Health & Nursing Science

Dr. Cheryl Addy is Chair of this department. Biobehavioral Health is the integrative scientific study of many factors (e.g., biology, psychology, environment) that affect health. The discipline focuses on how these different factors influence health and the development of interventions to improve health outcomes.

jay davis

Assistant Dean, Finance & Operations

Jay Davis manages the college’s accounting and budgeting, and provides strategic business guidance. He also oversees all general facilities matters and large scale facilities projects.

wright culpepper

Assistant Dean, Student Affairs

Wright Culpepper oversees the Office of Academic Affairs' Student Affairs team, providing day-to- day leadership and direction with respect to policies, practices, systems and operations.

Monica Cromer

Senior Director of Development

Monica Cromer oversees the college's development team charged with raising money, specifically the dean's initiatives while collaborating with central development and all colleges/units at the university.

Director of Strategic Initiatives

Jessica McCormick works directly with the dean and senior leadership on special projects and manages the college's strategic planning initiatives. She serves as the dean’s office liaison to other staff members regarding correspondence, scheduling, general office procedures and projects. She also assists with various internal committees.
