Research and Teaching Interest
Deborah Billings conducts research, evaluation, and programmatic work in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice, with particular emphasis on contraceptive access, safe abortion, prevention of gender-based violence and group-based for prenatal and postpartum care. She works globally to address these issues and has consulted with agencies and organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UNTF), and The Fund for Global Human Rights.
Dr. Billings co-teaches a Master's core course, PUBH 726 Qualitative Methods and facilitates a course on mutual aid through USC's Honors College.
