ODL has two on-site, professional production suites with advanced studio-level and audio equipment, studio lighting, and a photo-ready background to record, edit, and incorporate media into lectures.
Distributed learning uses technology to facilitate learning, whether on- or off-campus, in real-time or at student discretion. It enhances access to a first-rate university education for traditional and non-traditional students alike. Students can overcome barriers to educational opportunity presented by distance, classroom space limitations and time constraints.
Wherever students are and whenever they learn, they can be reached by distributed learning courses and programs.
ODL provides support services for faculty, students and academic units involved in USC's distributed learning courses and programs. ODL supports over 40 online programs, more than 900 online courses, and more than 500 faculty teaching online courses.

USC's Center for Teaching Excellence's (CTE) instructional designers assist faculty with instructional design and selecting the best combination of tools, resources and teaching practices to develop distributed learning courses and course components.
DoIT provides assistance with technology and Blackboard management as well as resources such as Tech Zone, Service, Desk, Software, Networking, Knowledge Base documents and more.
