The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRAA) provides assessment, accreditation and data resources to administrators, faculty and staff that are intended to support institutional planning, policy formation and decision making. Using university and national data sources, the office analyzes and reports information to internal and external constituencies on both a recurring and ad hoc basis.
OIRAA collects, archives and maintains institutional data for the purpose of analyzing, distributing and presenting summary information. OIRAA supports the vision and mission of USC by providing key policy makers with the capacity to make fact-based, strategic decisions and to measure the anticipated impact of those decisions.
SACSCOC Accreditation
The University of South Carolina was most recently accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in 2021. The University of South Carolina Community views the SACSCOC requirements and standards not as isolated mandates from an accrediting agency, but more as best practices developed over the years by institutional representatives from our region. Our goal is to embrace these best practices and use them to guide our policies and plans.
Commission on Higher Education (CHE) Compliance
