An important component of the university’s mission is to provide students with the
knowledge and cultural awareness to be responsible and successful citizens in today’s
globally integrated world. Global Carolina is dedicated to advancing internationalization, developing services and delivering
programs to facilitate students' engagement in global learning.
Education Abroad provides students the opportunity to experience the world beyond the United States
through a variety of different types of overseas programs, including global exchange,
global partner and global classroom led by USC faculty and staff. Through USC Connect, internationally-engaged students can earn graduation with leadership distinction
in global learning. The Office of Fellowships and Scholar Programs helps students with strong academic records pursue global learning opportunities
through national fellowships and scholarships.
With students representing many countries from around the world, the university is
an internationally diverse community. International Student and Scholar Support manage immigration issues for non-U.S. students who have been admitted to the university,
and provide support, advisement and programs for students once they arrive on campus.
Developing partnerships with high-quality overseas institutions that benefit both
students and faculty is critical to achieving the university’s international mission.
International Programs provide leadership to the university in support of its international
collaborations and the development of international academic agreements.
