PACWI serves women-identifying faculty, staff and graduate students through awareness
and advocacy efforts and effectuating change for benefits, pay equality and equivalent
and unimpeded opportunities at USC. The work of PACWI largely takes place in the following subcommittees:
Advocacy and Policy
The Advocacy and Policy subcommittee implements active and coercive initiatives designed to create awareness about issues of concern to women, and to promote reforms to university policies that hinder equal opportunity and treatment of women at the University of South Carolina.

Leadership and Professional Development
The Leadership and Professional Development subcommittee focuses on the unique professional and leadership development needs of women at USC through formal and informal activities, networking events, mentoring opportunities and educational workshops and resources.

Communications
Communications subcommittee assesses member representation in the PACWI committee and subcommittees, oversees member engagement and coordinates all communication and publication efforts.

Graduate Students
The Graduate Student subcommittee serves to represent the specific needs of women-identifying graduate students.

Women's Leadership Institute (WLI)
The annual Women's Leadership Institute features workshops, interactive presentations and a networking luncheon centered on promoting greater awareness of the challenges and opportunities women face as they seek to achieve a work/life balance. There is also time for participants to informally network and collaborate with women across disciplines or even across institutions.
